Charles William ‘Bill’ Martin

Charles William ‘Bill’ Martin, 76, of Monticello, passed peacefully at home on July 10, 2015.

He was born in Dekalb County, GA, to Mannon and Ethel Young Martin in 1939.

He is survived by his wife of 29 years Beth, daughter Syresa, son Richard, five grandchildren, three brothers, three sisters, numerous nieces and nephews, and many friends.

He was predeceased by his first wife Judy, and one brother.

Bill was a master electrician for over 50 years, and was a lifelong farmer, still farming at the time of his death. He served his country honorably in the U.S. Navy.

Bill’s wish for friends and family to celebrate his memory was an Old Fashioned Homegoing. This will be held at the Lighthouse Mennonite Church in Monticello, on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at 1 p.m. Please bring your favorite covered dish, and help us celebrate Bill’s life.
