Baptists Hold Mission Mania

Last weekend a total of 78 volunteers (39 youth and 39 adults) participated in Monticello Baptist Church’s Mission Mania.

The theme for the weekend was “Serving with Love” with a focus on 1 Peter 4:10 – “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.”

Service projects were completed at over 20 homes in the community. Work included painting, mowing, weed eating, cleaning gutters, carpentry, window washing, loading and hauling debris, moving furniture, and much more.

Local organizations that were assisted included the Westview Cemetery, ML&J Fund, the Jasper Co. Library, and the Monticello Square.

Youth participants included: Jesse Burton, Riley Burton, Bryce Crawford, Katherine Haase, Rylee Huff, Ben Lynch, Kalyn McMichael, Ashton Mooney, Wesley Powell, Tristan Reid, and Garrett Scroggs.
