Betty Moore Hearn

Betty Moore Hearn, age 80, of McDonough, GA passed away July 22, 2015.

Betty was born in Atlanta, GA, the daughter of the late Sarah Jackson Moore and John David Moore. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Vicky Hearn Gardner and a brother, Walter Moore.

Betty enjoyed spending time with family and friends, gardening, reading, nature and birds, camping and doing for others. She retired from Southern Bell and was a camp host for Fort Clinch State Park in Fernandina Beach, Fla. for 10 years.

Survivors are her loving husband of 62+ years, Lake Hearn of McDonough; children, Deborah Hearn Martin (Randy) of Mansfield and Scott Hearn (Susan) of McDonough; grandchildren, Jacob Hearn (Kristin) of Locust Grove and Miranda Hearn of McDonough; brother John Moore (Elaine) of McDonough; sister, Catherine Garry of McDonough, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday, July 25, in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Rev. Greg McCahn officiating. Interment was in Eastlawn Memorial Park.
