Two Cell Towers To Be On Air by Year End
Six cell towers have been completed, and two will be “on the air” by the end of the year.
County Building Inspector Brad Cherry said certificates of completion have been issued for the towers on Smith Mill Road, Post Road, Georgia-Pacific Road, Rock Eagle Road, Hwy. 212 east near Putnam County and Hwy. 16 west near Jackson Lake Road.
AT&T spokesman Paul Chambers Monday said that the company plans to have two towers on the air by the end of the year, but would not say which towers it will be. He said he couldn’t say which ones for competitive reasons.
He said that AT&T “continues to work to enhance the AT&T network in Jasper County.”
He added, “In the last three years, AT&T has invested $5 billion in infrastructure in Georgia.”
