Several Are Arrested

The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office investigated several thefts and fraudulent activity in the last weekend made several arrests.

Those arrested include:

•Tiffany Michelle Tripp, 30, Monticello—cruelty to children in the first degree.

•Leonardo William Jones, 47, Covington—too fast for conditions, reckless driving and passing a school bus while lights flashing.

•Elizabeth Ann Smith, 21, Oxford—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officers, drug related objects, possession of a controlled substance and possession of firearm or knife while committing a crime.

•Timothy Lowell Thompson, 37, Mansfield—failure to maintain lane, too fast for conditions, possession of open container and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Helen Diane Moore, 63, Monticello—possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.

•Michael Hunter Jones, 19, Jackson—reckless driving and aggressive driving.

•Rachel Felice Lagano, 33, Monticello––driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Derek Merrell Campbell, 26, Monticello — driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Sheila Rosell Dennis, 44, Monticello—probation violation.

•Jameason Preston Reynolds, 39, Covington—battery.

•James Kenneth Smith, 47, Monticello—open container of alcohol, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.

•Tommy Lee Kell, 18, Monticello—theft by taking and Jasper County Superior Court Bench warrant.

•David Kent Sorrells, 20, Monroe—probation violation.

•Alriesha L. Barnes, 18, Macon—theft by taking.
