Roger Lee Gordon Sr.
Mr. Roger L. Gordon Sr. was born December 23, 1952 to the parentage of the Late Odel Gordon Sr. and the late Ethel D. Baker in Macon Ga. Roger was raised in Monticello Ga. He died September 21, 2015.
At an early age he became a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Monticello. Roger graduated from Jasper County High School and later attended technical college where he became a certified mechanic.
Roger loved having fun and spending time with friends and family. Roger was also known for making people laugh, working on cars, dancing, drawing, fishing, cooking delicious meals and for his keen ear of music in which he played the guitar and loved to sing. Roger had a fun outgoing spirit and was known and loved by many.
Roger was preceded in death by his father, Odel Gordon Sr; his mother, Ethel D. Baker, his step-mother, Ocie Gordon, and his sister, Wille Corine Fisher.
He leaves to cherish his memory a son, Roger Gordon Jr. of Covington; daughters, Bonnie (Tyrone) Alexander of Jacksonville Fla., Candice (Fredrick) Davey of Covington, Crystal (Bobby) Gordon of Macon; brothers: Odel (Lisa) Gordon of Cromwell CT, Jessie (Felicia) Gordon of Macon, Bennie (Karmin) Baker of Macon; sister: Patricia Baker of Macon, step-sister Nellie Jackson of Monticello; four grandchildren: Destiny Watson, Damien Davey, Terry Wheaton III and Caylen Davey; one granddaughter due to be born on December 6, 2015; a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, other relatives and friends.
