Deputies Investigate Thefts and Fraud

Jasper County deputies investigated several incidents of burglary and theft by taking over the last week, most of which occurred in Monticello.

Deputies recovered a stolen vehicle in Shady Dale, and a stolen boat in Mansfield, but the other complaints were in the city of Monticello. A theft by deception at Dollar General was solved, and a burglary at the Frobel Street Laundromat was investigated.

Other incidents included tools stolen from a residence on Webb Street, and flower pots taken from a home on College Street. Deputies are also investigating missing mail from a Hwy. 212 address.

Those booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Mack Earl Duke, 58, Monroe—driving while license suspended or revoked.

•Latoya Raquel Gude, 34, Monticello—possession of cocaine, open container and inmate possession of prohibited items without consent.

•Marlerio Laquann Malone, 31, Monticello—possession of cocaine, open container and failure to maintain lane.

•Justin Levar Bostic, 34, Hillsboro—possession of cocaine and open container.

•Stanley Keith Davis, Sr., 54, Monticello—public drunkenness and loitering and prowling.

•Randy Cargile, 52, Monticello—public drunkenness.

•Ramon Arturo Jackson, 39, Monticello: public drunkenness and loitering and prowling.

•Glenda Niquitta Culp, 34, Monticello—theft by taking.

•Sarah Elaine Collins, 26, Monticello— failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and too fast for conditions.

•Michael Wayne Edwards, 26, Snellville: theft by taking.

•Jesse Hannah Follett, 18, Savannah— failure to maintain lane, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•James Randall Coles, Jr., 42, Covington—arson (first degree).

•Amanda Sue Custer, 36, Monticello—probation violation.

•Tammy Lynn Ashley, 29, Dearing—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•April Nicole Huff, 28, Matthews—failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Fausto Cruz Bautista, 40, Monticello—driving while unlicensed.
