Deputies Investigate Burglaries

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office responded to several calls about thefts in the last week. In one incident, a rubber mower tire, and CD containing pictures, county property, were taken from a location on Hwy. 83 south at Georgia-Pacific Road.

In another incident, on Apt-To-Miss Road in eastern Jasper County, a Kawasaki dirt bike, telephone and gold watch were taken.

In the north end of the county a tree stand was reported missing, and that was cited as theft by taking and criminal trespass.

Another burglary, along with fleeing or attempting to elude was reported on Post Road in Shady Dale.

Arrests reported for the week include:

•Andreas Daniel Mackey, 28, Stockbridge—arson (1st degree).

•Mario Bernard Thurman, 44, Monticello—possession of cocaine, possession of a Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Robert Eulis Grimsley, 39, Monticello—probation violation.

•Ady Anton Dahod, 17, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Jon Mark Nuckols, 56, Monticello—simple battery (two counts).

•James Edward Thurman, Sr., 64, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Harry Lee Maddox, 53, Monticello—public drunkenness, loitering and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

•William Darnell Standifer, 51, Monticello—probation violation.

•Melvin Cooper, 60, Rutledge—probation violation.

•Christopher Neal Lockerman, 44, Social Circle—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and headlight violation.

•Jeffrey Scott Cantrell, 44, Mansfield—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Shirley Wise Benton, 56, Monticello—probation violation and public drunkenness.

•Chloe Meleen Gray, 20, Yatesville—theft by taking.

•Cecil Williams, Jr., 35, Yatesville—theft by taking.

•Angela Marie Lackey, 44, Newborn—burglary.

•Whitley Elaine Stone, 26, Monticello—possession of drug related objects, possession of marijuana less than an ounce, open container and failure to stop at stop sign.

•Clarence Price, III, 26, Social Circle—probation violation.

•Timothy Dewayne Rogers, 35, Flovilla—probation violation.
