MS Cougars Win Final Game

The Piedmont Academy Middle School football team capped the 2015 season with a 38-22 home victory against Covenant Academy last week.

Owen Brady, Tate Marks and Payton Wallace each contributed scores. Dylan Coe threw a touchdown pass to Wallace.

Trent Coots also scored a two-point conversion. Cameron Mobley had a solid performance running the ball. Coach Alvin Hawkes also praised the efforts of Brady throwing the football.

“Overall, I thought we had a great season,” Hawkes said. “I appreciate all that the players contributed.”

The goal of becoming more knowledgeable about the sport was accomplished.

“I believe we learned more about the game of football,” Hawkes said. “I would also like to thank Ray Schad for his help in coaching this team. Ray did a fantastic job.”
