HURRICANE SOFTBALL

The Hurricane Softball team which started five freshmen, three sophomores, and one junior advanced to the state playoffs and traveled to Seminole County on Wednesday, October 14 for the best two out of three series to see who would advance to the second round of the state playoffs.

The Lady Canes played well but lost 4-2 the first game and 10-8 the second game in a competitive series that saw the Lady Canes leading most of the second game and even going to extra innings before losing to the #1 seed in Region 1AA.

Coach Jenkins stated, “I’m proud of the hard work and dedication that these girls put in this year. They played well, especially being so young. We are looking forward to many good years with this young group of girls that matured so much during the season.”
