SUPERIOR PERFORMANCE

This past weekend the Marching Hurricanes finished their competitive season at the Heart of Georgia Marching Band Invitational in Warner Robins.
The band competed in class AA, and finished in second place in their class that consisted of six bands. In addition, their score was high enough to beat out 10 other bands in the contest, including two AAA bands and one AAAAA band.
Drum Major, Anna Parker, and the percussion section also received second place in class AA. The Marching Hurricanes scored Superiors (the highest possible rating) in every category, including overall score, music performance, visual performance, overall effect, drum major, percussion, and color guard. This was the first time that the band has ever received superior scores from every judge (nine judges in total)!
In addition to the remaining football games, the Marching Hurricanes will also be performing their 2015 show, “Genie,” on the morning of the Deer Festival at 11 a.m. at the Rose Bowl. The Jackson High School Red Devil Marching Band will be joining them as well, and then both bands will march in the Deer Festival Parade at 2 p.m.
Please come out and support both bands and see their shows one more time!
