Thelma Willene Hatfield Tillman

Thelma Willene Hatfield Tillman, age 80, of Stockbridge, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 10, 2015, at Westbury Health and Rehabilitation Center of McDonough.

Thelma Tillman was born in Trion, Ga., to the late James Willie Hatfield and Eulaya Creamer Hatfield. Along with her parents, brothers J. W. Hatfield and Charles Hatfield preceded her in death.

Thelma graduated from McDonough High School. She was a member of Brushy Knob Baptist Church in Stockbridge and a former member of Eastern Star of Rex.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Braxton Tillman of Stockbridge; daughter, Karen T. Godwin of Stockbridge; granddaughter, Eva Lynn Cabrera of Stockbridge; sisters and brother, Dorothy M. Ridgeway of Jackson, Peggy Bryant of Douglasville, Mary Hunt of Stockbridge, Faye Tillman of Monticello, and Walter Thomas “Tommy” Hatfield of Eatonton; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, at Fairview Memorial Gardens 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Ga. 30281. Pastor James Ward will officiate.

The family will receive friends Thursday, Nov. 12, 2015, from 10 to 11 a.m. at Jordan Funeral Home.
