Basketball Event Set Saturday

The Monticello Hurricane basketball program will host its second annual Midnight Madness Extravaganza this Saturday, Nov. 14 beginning at 7 p.m. in the Jasper County High School gym.

The event will feature live music from DJ Cruz and a performance by Quazo G. Also featured will be 3-point contest, slam dunk contest, and a $1 free throw contest. Prizes will be awarded.

The event will include a live scrimmage with the upcoming varsity Hurricane basketball players.

The 2015-2016 season is slated to kickoff Friday, Nov. 20 at Heritage High School in Conyers.

The varsity boys squad will be again coached by William “B.J.” Thomas while former middle school girl’s coach Shakerirra Middlebrooks will lead the varsity girls squad.
