Several Are Arrested
The Jasper County Sheriff’s Office had no reports of theft in the last week. It was a fairly quiet week, with few incidents investigated.
However, numerous arrests were made for various charges, including previous burglaries. Those arrested, and their charges, include:
•James Robert Lackey, 36, Shady Dale—burglary and theft by taking.
•Anthony Guinn Underwood, 40, Mansfield—Jasper County Superior Court bench warrant.
•John Phillip Dunn, 33, Loganville—failure to maintain lane, reckless driving and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Alvin Donald Taylor, 62, Monticello—Jasper County Superior Court bench warrant.
•Anthony Clay Ricks, 21, Conyers—probation violation.
•Terrance Durand Brown, 20, Monticello — reckless driving, fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement and operation of vehicle without current plate.
•Constance Joanne Blackmon, 47, Eatonton—burglary.
•Thomas Van Warren Johnson, 24, Mansfield — open container of alcohol and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•James Waters, 55, Covington—public drunkenness.
•Timothy Brown, 57, Monticello—public drunkenness.
•Kendarous Ray Shun Benjamin, 23, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Kelly James Olson, Jr., 20, Covington—failure to maintain lane and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Jacob Martin Oders, 32, Mansfield—obstruction or hindering emergency 911 call and battery.
•Devante Xavier Campbell, 19, Monticello—fleeing or attempting to elude law enforcement (2 counts), reckless driving, no tag or expired tag, no proof of insurance and driving on wrong side of the road.
•Deborah Leigh Hicks, 43, Newborn—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Kevin Vaughn Wayt, 31, Mansfield—hold for warrant in Butts Co.
•Dean Gibson Kilby, 58, Monticello—probation violation.
•Mark Anthony Johnson, 27, Mansfield—Jasper County Superior Court bench warrant.
•Darren James Kippes, 50, Newborn—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
