MS Boys Earn Win

Piedmont Academy’s Middle School basketball teams ventured to Milledgeville last Friday to face John Milledge Academy.

The Middle School boys earned a 37-34 win as Tate Marks scored a game-high 21 points. Marks scored nine points in the second quarter, two in the third and 10 in the fourth quarter. Six of the points scored by Marks in the fourth quarter came at the foul line.

Owen Brady also played a solid game and finished with nine points for the Cougars. Brady scored points in each quarter including two in the first, third and fourth and three in the third.

Piedmont trailed by two points after the first quarter and continued to trail 19-18 at halftime. John Milledge actually moved in front by eight points after the third quarter but a 15-4 run in the final quarter helped lift the Middle School Cougars to the victory.

Ava Anglin and Maddie Waddleton, who both scored two points in an 18-4 loss, led the Middle School Lady Cougars.
