Theft Is Reported
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’;s Office investigated only one report of theft in the last week, and that was an alleged theft from a vehicle parked on the Square Monday.
It was also a relatively light week for arrests, as compared to the last couple, anyway. Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:
•Donnie Luther Joyce, Sr., 62, Monticello—pedestrian under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
•Shirley Wise Benton, 56, Monticello—probation violation and disorderly conduct.
•Desmond Raymond Whitlock, 24, Monticello—probation violation.
•Shirley Jean Suttles, 56, Monticello—criminal trespass and battery.
•Addonai Mazi Bautista, 23, Shady Dale—child molestation, sexual exploitation of children and electronically furnishing obscene material to a minor.
•Devin Ridge Millwood, 17, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce and tag light violation.
•Michael Oneal Lyons, 49, Shady Dale—public drunkenness.
•Jesse Hunter Pope, 19, Cleveland—possession of marijuana less than an ounce and headlight violation.
•Alicia Jean Myers, 18, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•David Christopher Hardwick, 49, Monticello—probation violation, Jasper County Superior Court bench warrant and battery.
•Jacob Christian Gaddis, 21, Conyers—Jasper County Probate Court Bench warrant for failure to appear.
•Robert Deonte Chandler, 31, Atlanta—probation violation.
Also, since the beginning of the year, deputies have responded to 716 calls for service, including 213 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 56 checking location, 54 direct traffic and serve civil papers, 36 subjects needs officer, 26 alarms, 25 assist motorist, 24 accidents, 17 mechanical breakdown, 13 each trouble unknown, road hazard, and argument.
Also, 15 pick-up prisoner/subject, 13 trouble unknown 12 livestock/carcass on road, 10 escort or convoy, eight attempt to serve warrant and foot patrol, seven threatening/harassing calls, six music/noise complaint, five juvenile complaint, abandoned vehicle and fight, running/checking radar, and numerous other types of complaints.
