FOOD BANK CHALLENGE ACCEPTED

The Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce had a “fill the window” campaign in January to collect non-perishable goods for the food bank, and the Bank of Monticello jumped in, collecting food, and donating it. They challenged other businesses to also support the many local worthy causes, one of which is the food bank. The News office offered a discounted subscription with the donation of two cans, and News staffers also brought in canned goods.

The News will continue the promotion through February for anyone who wants to donate food, and save money off their subscription. Just bring in two (or more) canned goods and get $5 off.
