Thefts Are Reported
Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated numerous reports of theft in the last week. In an incident in Turtle Cove, jewelry was reported missing, and in another incident in that neighborhood, a statue was taken. Theft by taking and theft by conversion are suspected in the report of missing tools.
A purse was reportedly taken from an address in Shady Dale, but is wasn’t discovered for quite some time as the victim was incarcerated. A pistol was reported missing from an address in north Jasper County right at Newton off Hwy. 212. A case of identification fraud was reported, also, and tools were also taken from an address on Easy Ridge Road at Jackson Lake.
Also, during the last week, numerous people were booked into the Jasper County Detention Center. They include:

•Aaron Albert Parker, 18, Covington—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Kaci Kristina Wages, 30, Monticello—probation violation.
•Kamece Chawanda Sands, 39, Monticello—criminal trespass.
•Bonnie Carol Booth, 43, Mansfield—mandatory education of minors.
•Jennifer Lynn Washington, 30, Flovilla—probation violation.
•Peggy Joann Harris, 55, Flovilla—probation violation.
•Jeremy Daniel Adams, 19, Suwannee—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Christopher Ray Mace, 19, Toccoa— possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Jason Andrew Bailor, 19, Griffin—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Lisa Michelle Pope, 42, Monticello—simple battery.
•James Lorin Pope, 40, Monticello—simple battery.
•Hugo Martinez Rufino, 19, Newborn—failure to maintain lane and driving without a valid license.
•Vance Obrian Coleman, 41, Hillsboro—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, driving while license suspended or revoked and tail light violation.
•Andrew Michael Schulte, 28, Austell—probation violation.
•Jennifer Yvette Green, 39, Monticello—mandatory education of minors.
•Terrance Antonia Bostic, 29, Monticello—driving without a valid license.
•Steven Curtis Connell, 37, Monticello—hold for warrant in Douglas Co.
•Alicia Marie Cates, 38, Monticello—probation violation.
Also during the week, deputies responded to 382 calls for service, including 71 stopping suspicious person.vehicle; 39 checking location, 38 escort or convoy, 37 serve civil papers, 20 alarms and numerous other calls.
