Donna Lorraine Ethridge Whidby

Donna Lorraine Ethridge Whidby, age 67, of Monticello, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at St. Mary’s Hospital in Athens.

Donna Whidby was born in Atlanta, Ga. to the late Thomas Ethridge and Lucille Dovie Bailey Ethridge. She lived in Conyers before moving to Monticello in 1986. She was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Louette Whidby Wingate.

Donna worked as a substitute teacher and bus driver for Jasper County Board of Education for a number of years. She loved art, cross-stitching and riding horses.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde Wayne Whidby of Monticello; son, Jody Wayne Whidby of Monticello; and one grandchild, Cody Ward.

The family will receive friends at 2 p.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016, at the Chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Edwards will officiate.
