Gerald ‘Jerry’ Steele

Gerald “Jerry” Steele, age 69, of Buford, passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2016.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Lee Steele, of Buford; children and spouses, Michael Wayne and Angie Steele, Monticello, Angela and Frank Cox, Douglasville, Kelly and Tommy Bohannon, Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; a sister Sheila Ann and Bill Pallino, Dallas; brother, David and Geri Steele, Marietta; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Mr. Steele was born on October 20, 1946, in Cedartown. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He was a 1964 graduate of South Cobb High School and was a retired Tech Rep from Xerox Company after 27 years of service.

A Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Rev. Tony Samples officiating and military honors.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 1:30 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buford Senior Center in memory of Gerald Steele.
