Several Are Sentenced in Court
Judge Brenda Trammell presided over lengthy arraignment and motion day calendar dockets last Tuesday in Jasper Superior Court. However, many of the cases were continued until a later court date.
One criminal case not continued involved Quan Dameon Middlebrooks, who was ordered to serve seven years in confinement of a 12 year total sentence with the remaining years served on probation. He was sentenced on charges including possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and possession of firearm by convicted felon while a charge of forgery in the second degree was nolle prossed. He was given credit for time served since his August 2015 arrest and fined $2,000.
Antonio Dwayne Dumas was sentenced to eight months in the Jasper County jail for battery and criminal trespass charges. He too was credited for time served since October 2015.
receiving probation sentences for offenses include:
Miranda Nicole Gore, five years of probation for sale of methamphetamine and fined $1,500.
Francis Godfery Leverette, four years of probation for terroristic threats and fined $1,000. He was credited for time served since December 2015.
William Paul Perry, three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and fined $1,000.
Jessica Ann Stearns, three years of probation for possession of methamphetamine and fined $1,000.
Mondrez Rontarius Jacobs, 12 months of probation for possession of marijuana and fined $500.
Angela Marie Rutherford, 12 months of probation for disrupting public school and fined $400.
