Spilled Paint Affects Vehicles
A lot of Jasper County vehicles, as well as others passing through, were damaged last week after a truck went up Hwy. 11 north spilling paint from Malone Road into Newton County.
Deputies were alerted to the situation and contacted Newton County where the truck was located near Interstate 20. Numerous people have made a report to the sheriff’s office in each county about damage to their vehicles. Some reports say the paint comes off, others say it does not.
Anyone who needs to be added to the report should contact the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office a 1551 Hwy. 212 west. An incident report is available if insurance companies need it.
In other incidents in the last week, copper pipe was reported stolen from an address on Raby Road in north Jasper. Deputies also reported the theft of a jacket from Ingles, and investigated a report of identity fraud.
Persons booked into the Jasper County Detention Center in teh last week include:
•Kendra Lou Garza, 28, Monticello—possession of Schedule IV controlled substance and possession of methamphetamine.
•Joseph Clinton Kirkpatrick, 35, Shady Dale—terroristic threats and acts.
•Chad Edward Sparkman, 36, Mansfield—sale of Schedule I or II controlled substance.
•Matthew Michael McMurry, 31, Stockbridge—sale of methamphetamine (two counts), possession of methamphetamine, tampering with evidence, obstruction or hindering law enforcement officer, drug related objects and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.
•Morgan Edmund Thames, 40, McDonough—probation violation.
•Earl Lee Bell, 51, Monticello—battery.
•Donald Hardwick, 52, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•Sandra Denise Hardwick, 41, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•Ardrecus Rashard Banks, 35, Monticello—disorderly conduct.
•William Lamar King, 47, Griffin—disorderly conduct.
•Arlandos Juantrez Grier, 30, Monticello—probation violation.
•Timothy Joel McDaniel, 55, Covington—probation violation.
