Shondra Demetrail Hunter

A celebration of life for Shondra Demetrail Hunter, who died April 24, 2016, was held Saturday, April 30, at Springfield Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Jimmy Horton, pastor, officiated. Burial was in South View Cemetery.

Ms. Hunter was born January 28, 1973 to the late Mattie Hunter Awumee and David Tinsley, Sr. She was the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Gus Hunter and the late Mr. and Mrs. Charlie Tinsley, Sr.

She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Atlanta, and graduated from McNair High School in 1991, and from LeCordon Bleu in 2015. She was a loving mother, daughter and also a very strong free-spirited person and full of life. She loved music, dancing, and especially her family. There was always a smile on her face when she came around.

She leaves to cherish her memories a son, Quantavious Marcel Hunter; daddy, Freddie Childs of Atlanta; father, David Tinsley, Sr., two sisters, Trameka (Ramone) Whitening and Telsa Tinsley; five brothers, Alvin (Shakela) Tinsley, David Tinsley, Jr., Donnell Mitchell, Quentin Mitchell and Andre Mitchell, all of Monitcello; aunts, Patricia Hunter, Rosa P. Dozier, Phyllis McElheney, Margaret Hunter, Martha White and Ruthie M. Richards; uncles, Ruben (Stacey) Hunter, William Hunter, Charlie Tinsley, Jr., Marshal Tinsley, Willie Tinsley, and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. Also, God-family Mr. and Mrs. John Chaney; special friends, Adrain Tinsley, Carolyn Bridges, Minittie Hunter and Gerald Jones.

Pallbearers were Tony Hunter, Octavious Dozier, Gerald Jones, Cornelius Hunter, Sam Awumee, and Anthony Hunter. Flower attendants were family members and friends.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home, Monticello, was in charge of arrangements.
