B-Team Cougars End Season with Win

Piedmont Academy’s B-Team baseball squad capped a successful 2016 season with a 10-0 win against Gatewood last week at home.

Nate Miller was the winning pitcher and also contributed a home run at the plate. Dalton Whitley had a double and Dylan Coe delivered an RBI double.

Chase Parker also contributed offensively as did Owen Brady. Caleb Faircloth drew two walks.

The B-Team Cougars finished the season with an 8-5 overall record, including victories in their final six outings.

Coach Wes Tanner said the team improved throughout the spring and earned valuable on-the-field experience which will help the players once they move to varsity.
