Wayne Carlton Jones

Wayne Carlton Jones, age 66, of Hillsboro, Georgia, passed away on July 20, 2016, at Jasper Memorial Hospital after a sudden illness.

Mr. Jones was widely known as a master carpenter and cabinet maker. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served as an air traffic controller during the Viet Nam Conflict. His parents were the late Ethel Jean Farrar and John Carlton Jones.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Samuel Glenn Jones. He is survived by his wife Cynthia Gale Jones, son Christopher Jones, daughter Alison Faith Jones, granddaughter Amber Nicole Darity, and step-son Heath Linton.

He loved his family dearly and one of his favorite pass times was shooting air rifles with his family and friends.
