MS Lady Cougars Open Season

A trip to Briarwood on Tuesday, Aug. 9, will usher in a new season for the Piedmont Academy Middle School softball team.

The Middle School Lady Cougars have been preparing for 2016 and will take the field for a game on that date.

Members of this year’s team include eighth graders Sydney Stroud and Rebekah Hicks, seventh graders MaLynne Webb, Hannah Tyler, Savanna Taylor, Fleming Sealy, Maddie Waddleton, Katie Mathews and Harris Brady and sixth graders Hayden Crews, Anna Grace Hinson, Abby Arnold, Dakota Floyd, Emily McEwen and Sara Kate Banks.

Following the season opener, Piedmont’s Middle School softball team is scheduled to play against Monticello at the Jasper County Recreation Department on Aug. 11 at 5 p.m. before traveling to Windsor Academy in Macon on Aug. 16 for a 4 p.m. contest.
