Ms. Brenda D. Wyatt
A celebration of life for Ms. Brenda D. Wyatt, age 76, of Monticello, was held Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2016 at New Bethel Grove Baptist Church In Monticello. Rev. Lucious Solomon, pastor and Rev. Favors, eulogist. Interment was in the church cemetery.
Ms. Wyatt died September 14, 2016 in Macon.
Brenda was preceded in death by her mother Mrs. Suleaner Jones Wyatt.
Brenda and her family resided in Atlanta, and joined New Bethel Grove Baptist Church as a child under the leadership of the late Rev. J. Slaughter. As a child she attended the Greater Piney Grove Baptist Church in Atlanta with her parents. Brenda was educated at Wesley Avenue Elementary School and graduated from David T. Howard High School in 1966.
Brenda had two sons that she cherished dearly Mario Wyatt and Corey Wyatt and a very dear friend the late Oscar Derricho. Brenda reconnected with her church family, the New Bethel Grove Baptist Church, this year (2016) under the leadership of Rev. Lucious Solomon.
Brenda loved worshipping with her family and friends. She was known for making you laugh with her great sense of humor and she loved looking good.
Brenda leaves to cherish her memories her father, Deacon Tommie Lee Wyatt, College Park; two sons, Mario (Dinah) Wyatt, Jonesboro, and Corey Wyatt, Monticello; three sisters, Daisie Smith of Covington, JoAnn Simmons of Atlanta, and Remonia Wyatt of Lithonia; two brothers, Min. Jerry Wyatt of Monticello and Roderick (Anita) Wyatt of College Park; an aunt Alice (Raymond) Hendricks of Jackson; three grandsons, Vincent Smith, Brandon Wyatt and Mario Wyatt, Jr.; two step children, Angela Derricho and Oscar Derricho, Jr.; a step grandchild, Shynetria Murrah; two nieces, Chiniqua Wyatt and Krystal Wyatt; three nephews, Scott Smith, Xavier (Terri) Wyatt and Fredric Haliburton; many great and great – great nieces and nephews and special cousins.
Also, special friends, Ann Myers, William Maye and Aweetta Oliver; God daughter, Fazetta Lampkin and a host of extended family and friends.
