MARCHING HURRICANES

The Jasper County High School Marching Hurricanes competed in the 10th annual Valhalla Classic Marching Competition held at Northgate High School in Newnan Saturday.

The overall band scored a Superior, which placed them in the top four of 10 bands competing in the Silver Division. In addition to the overall band score, Drum Major Starr Batchelor, and the drumline also scored a superior.

The drumline’s score was high enough to place third in class AA. Later this month, on October 29, the band will also be competing at the Greater Atlanta Marching Festval held at Rockdale County High School. Chris Savage is band director.
