Thefts Are Reported; Arrests Are Made

Jasper County deputies investigated several thefts in the last week, including a theft by deception on West Greene Street, and several thefts by taking.

A dirt bike was taken from DD’s Taxidermy on Hwy. 11 north last week, and on the same day a trailer was reported taken from another address on Hwy. 11 north. In addition, tools were taken from an address on Biltmore Road. Also, a theft was reported last Friday on Post Road.

Also in the last week, deputies made several arrests. Those who were booked into the Jasper County Detention Center include:

•Antonio Dwayne Dumas, 35, Monticello—probation violation and obstruction of a law enforcement officer.

•Sydney Brock Lilyander, 25, Monticello—cruelty to children, first degree.

*Felicia Lynn Crowe, 30, Monticello—sale of methamphetamine.

•John Robert Dempsey, 42, Monticello—battery and cruelty to children (two counts).

•Teresa Ray Roberts, 45, Monticello—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Brandon Lee Thompson, 20, Monticello—probation violation, theft by taking and criminal trespass.

•Destiny Nicole Avery, 17, Monticello—theft by taking.

•Peter Thomas Roy Symington, 48, Monticello—theft by taking.

•Kevin Chad Phillip Cope, Jr., 26, Covington—probation violation.

•Lois Marie Gignac, 52, Newborn—obstruction of a law enforcement officer and battery.

•Allisa Starr Davidson, 31, Flovilla—possession of methamphetamine.

•Mike Randall Cantrell, 42, Newborn—open container and driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.

•Octavius Lamar Floyd, 21, Covington—possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Jimmy Douglas Little, Jr., 39, Covington—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Kaila Marie Palencia, 31, Conyers—Jasper County Superior Court Bench warrant.

•Wilbur Richard White, 34, Shady Dale—battery and criminal trespass.
