BOTH DRIVERS INJURED

The drivers of both these cars were injured and taken to area hospitals after they collided on Hwy. 83 north near Shady Dale last Wednesday afternoon, Oct. 19. Lindsey Adams of Snellville was driving a 2007 PT Cruiser south on Hwy. 83. Meanwhile, William Betzel of Athens was driving a 2014 Tesla Model S north on Hwy. 83. While they were both negotiating a curve, Vehicle 1, Ms. Adams, crossed the center line and struck the front of the other vehicle. Vehicle 1 rotated 180 degrees and came to rest in the center of the road, according to the report from the Georgia State Patrol. Vehicle 2 hit the east shoulder of the road and struck the mile marker sign, and came to rest there.
