Incidents Investigated; Arrests Are Reported
Deputies investigated a burglary at Jackson Lake Storage in which a storage unit was damaged. They also investigated a case of identification fraud for a resident in Newborn. In addition, deputies were called to a report of shoplifting at Circle K, and the suspect was apprehended.

•Kenneth Anthony Thurman, 53, Monticello—theft by shoplifting and probation violation.
•Willie Lee McGuire, III, 26, Monticello—probation violation.
•Clint Ledwayne Jackson, 52, Monticello—theft by shoplifting.
•Cierra Sankira Wright, 18, Shady Dale—possession of cocaine, giving false name or address to law enforcement officer, possession of a Schedule I controlled substance and probation violation.
•Kiere Shar’don Farrar, 20, Monticello—possession of cocaine, possession of Schedule I or II controlled substance with intent to distribute and possession of marijuana less than one ounce.
•Kendra Lou Garza, 29, Monticello—theft by taking.
•Jeremy Miles Bearden, 20, Newborn—battery.
•James Todd Benge, 54, Mansfield—Jasper County Superior Court failure to appear bench warrant.
Jasper County deputies also responded to some 375 calls for service, including 48 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 41 premises check, 29 direct traffic, and 19 subject needs officer.
