Contest Winner Gets 13 Right

It was another tough football contest week, with only three people making the honor roll, and one of those, Kenshika Davis, got 13 right to also win the weekly contest.
It’s Ms. Davis’ first year playing, and her sister, Tameka, has made the honor roll three times, but has not won yet. Kenshika was hard to reach at work Monday, and when she learned she had won, she had no time to take the photo. So, she called upon her sister who could not believe that Kenshika had won the contest. Now each sister has a chance at the grand prize which will be given away very soon.
Tameka accepted Kenshika’s prize from Carol Ann McMichael of Abbey Hospice, sponsor of the week.
One of the games that Kenshika missed was St. Francis defeat of Reinhardt. We included that game in the contest because Monticelloan Quincy Standifer plays for Reinhardt. Unfortunately Reinhardt did not prevail, but it made the contest more interesting. Kenshika also picked Oklahoma State to defeat Oklahoma, and missed that one.
Mike Arnold, who was mistakenly left off last week’s honor roll, and Stan Humphreys each got 12 right to make the honor roll.
This is the last week for the weekly contest, and after that everyone who has made the honor roll will be in a drawing for the grand prize.
And, the grand prize game is now set. Part of the playoff system, no. 1 Alabama will face no. 4 Washington on December 31 at 3 p.m. in the Georgia Dome.
So, everyone, especially those who have not yet made the honor roll, study the contests really hard, and try to see the future. Anyone who picks the winners in 12 or more games listed will have is or her name added to the honor roll one last time. And, the winner will pick up a $25 prize from Jennifer B. Proctor, DVM at Piedmont Animal Service.
Anyone can play, anyone can win. Novice and veteran alike have an equal chance. Just pick the winners in each of the games listed on the entry form on page 11, and turn it in no later than 5 p.m. tomorrow, Dec. 9. Entries may be submitted in person at the office (which will close early Friday, but there is a box out front), by fax to 706-468-6576, or by e-mail to info@themonticellonews.com.
