Arrests Are Reported

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) investigated several reports of theft in the last week, including one last week on Pine Street, where items were taken from an automobile. Also last week, a telephone was reported stolen at Washington Park Elementary School.

Sometime between December 28 and January 8, an array of items were taken from an address on Teal Court. Mising are lumber, a tool box, air compressor, ladder, saw, and more.

A Mustang was reported stolen from an address on Blue Heron Drive, and it was later recovered in Porterdale. Another theft was reported on West Washington Street, where a bucket of pecans was taken from a residence.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Marcus Mandrell Campbell, 35, Monticello—tampering with evidence, purchase/possession/manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana, possession of firearm by convicted felon, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana less than an ounce and probation violation.

•Labarron Cosby Farrar, 39, Monticello—possession of cocaine and probation violation.

•William Cherry Hunter, 67, Monticello—possession of cocaine, driving on wrong side of road, tail light requirement, obstruction of law enforcement officer, fleeing and attempting to elude, driving while license suspended or revoked and failure to stop at stop sign.

•Melvin Dennis, 55, Monticello—battery.

•Tiffany Leigh Tomblin, 38, Monticello—possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, tampering with evidence, purchase/possess/manufacture/distribution or sale of marijuana, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute.

•Heather Ann Hulsey, 42, Monticello—possession of a Schedule I or II drug with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of a Schedule III, IV or V drug with intent to distribute (two counts), possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, tampering withevidence, purchase/possession/ manufacture/distribution/or sale of marijuana and possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute (two counts).

*Matthew John Duchaine, 29, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, sale of Schedule I or II controlled substance (two counts), possession of Schedule III, IV or V with intent to distribute (two counts).

•Christopher Dale Irwin, 32, Monticello—probation violation.

•Randy Lew Bennett, 29, Covington—possession of marijuana less than an ounce, driving while license suspended or revoked and giving false name, address or birthday to law enforcement officers.

•Ronnie Eugene Goolsby, 52, Monticello—parole violation and obstruction or hindering law enforcement officer.

•Kytrone Ramon Williams, 38, Shady Dale: obstruction of an officer and failure to wear seatbelt.

•Dawne Slater Parker, 50, Ludowici—probation violation.

•Marvis Armel Wyman, 36, Monticello—Jasper County Magistrate Court bench warrant.

•Lauren Ann Macke, 24, McDonough—open container, driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.

•Samuel Barron Ross, Jr., 26, Macon—driving while license suspended or revoked and seatbelt violation.
