Roger Dean Moon

Roger Dean Moon, age 55 of Newborn, formerly of Milstead, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Louise and Millard Moon; brother, Lanier Moon; and sisters, Betty Pierce, Wanda Gail Moore, Sheila Sexton.

He is survived by his wife, Angie Moon; son and daughter-in-law, Dustin and Jennifer Henderson; daughter, Lasha Henderson; grandchildren, Kailey Kendall, Dalton Ramey Moon, Haidyn Henderson, Grayson Henderson; brothers and sister-in-law, Jerry L. Moon, Larry R. and Jackie Moon, William Moon, Denny L. Moon; and sisters, Brenda Moon, Kathy Moon Wilson.

Mr. Moon worked as a subcontractor in heating and air for over 36 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, NASCAR and spending time in the outdoors. He was a member of Higher Praise Tabernacle.

Funeral services will be held Friday, March 3, 2017 at 11 a.m. at Scot Ward’s Green Meadow Chapel with Revs. Larry Phillips and Kenneth Morrell officiating; interment will follow at East View Cemetery. A reception will follow the interment at Milstead Baptist Church.

Family will receive friends Thursday, March 2, 2017 from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
