Brenda Nell Miller

Funeral services for Brenda Nell Miller, who died April 19, 2017, were held Sunday, April 23, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses in Monticello.

Mrs. Miller was born on August 30, 1951 to the late Rubin Brown and Mrs. Roberta Bland Brown of Monticello.

She received her formal education from the Jasper County Public School System. She married Clarence Miller on July 1, 1980; to this union four children were born.

Mrs. Miller was preceded in death by her son, Grantt Miller; sister, Rubie Brown, and grandson, Jeremy Miller.

She worked at Dexter Axle and Big Chic of Monticello; and, as a caregiver. She also cooked for everybody in the neighborhood. She took special care of her family and especially the grandchildren and her mother. She had a big heart with lots of love, always showing a big, happy smile.

Mrs. Miller dedicated her life and became one of Jehovah’s Witnesses some 20 years ago. She enjoyed attending the Kingdom Hall and learning about the Bible’s promises of everlasting life.

She will forever be cherished by her loving husband, Clarence Miller; seven children, Alvin Tinsley, Clarence Miller, Jr., Amanda Miller, Berlinda Miller, Brenda Hyman (Shannon), Sarah Miller and Lisa Miller; 20 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; a brother, Eddie Brown (Marion) and three sisters, Loretta Lawrence (Bobby), Roberta Anderson and Cynthia Davis; sister-in-law, Sarah Ann Thomas (James); brothers-in-law, Freddie Miller and Lonnie Miller (Geneva).

Cherishing her memories is a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, extended family and friends. Her spirited brothers and sisters of the Monticello Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses will miss her dearly, but with fond memories.

Smith and Sons Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
