Lawrence Salvatore ‘Larry’ Adornato
Lawrence Salvatore “Larry” Adornato, age 82, passed away Monday, April 24, 2017, at the Medical Center of Central Georgia.
Larry Adornato was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to the late Salvatore Adornato and Concettina Raciti Adornato. He received his BA degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin in Madison, Wis. He served in the U. S. Air Force.
In 1959, he married Barbara Louise Arentzen, and they celebrated 58 years of marriage before her death in 2015. After moving to Orlando, Fla., he worked for The Martin Company until moving to Monticello in 1971. He owned and operated Adornato Electric until his retirement in 2012.
He loved farming, agriculture and rabbit hunting. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his son, Lawrence “Larry” John Adornato in 2016.
He is survived by his sons, Rocky (Lynn) Adornato of Sammamish, Wash. and Tony Adornato of Oxford; grandchildren, Gessica Adornato, Alissa Adornato, Rocco Adornato, Rachel Adornato, Alex Adornato, and Elizabeth Adornato; and brother, Rocco Adornato of New Berlin, Wis.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, May 2, 2017, at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. Interment will be held in the Adornato Family Cemetery. Rev. Ben Strength will officiate.
The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service, from 10-11 a.m., on Tuesday, May 2, at Jordan Funeral Home.
