Jeanette Wyatt White Hunter

Jeanette Wyatt White Hunter, age 90, of Hillsboro passed away Tuesday, July 11, 2017, at Covenant of Golden Age in Jackson, Ga.

Jeanette White Hunter was born in Farrar, Ga. on October 11, 1926. Her parents were the late Walker Wyatt and Clutie Kelly Wyatt. She was also preceded in death by her husbands, Virgil Odell White, Jr. and Boyd Clay Hunter; son-in-law, Wayne K. English; grandchild, Charles Robert Garrard, III; and brother, Jack Wyatt.

She was the former activities director for The Retreat Nursing Home. She was a member of the Pink Ladies at Jasper Memorial Hospital, and a state officer in the VFW Ladies’ Auxiliary in Eatonton. She was a member of Hillsboro Baptist Church, the Back Porch Gang and the Loraine Dumas Outreach Ministry.

Jeanette was a beautiful woman who loved to dance, especially to the music her late husband Virgil played and sang. She loved helping and serving others. She always had a precious smile for everyone she met. “Granet” always enjoyed special occasions with family and friends. She was deeply loved by her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She died peacefully at the age of 90 on July 11, 2017, in Jackson, Ga.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Elaine W. (Wayne) Greene of Gray, Linda W. English of Flovilla and Margaret W. (Bob) Wallace of Shady Dale; step-son, Randy Hunter of Talladega, Ala.; grandchildren, Elaine Harvey, Rebecca Law, Jenni Benton, Chandler Greene, Tara Wallace and A. J. Hunter; great-grandchildren, Alex Baldwin, Hudson Laine Benton, Larry Wheeler Benton, III and Sierra Law; and sister, Mary Dena (Rudy) Rudolf of McKeesport, Pa.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Hillsboro Baptist Church in Hillsboro. Interment will be held in Fullerton Memorial Gardens in Hillsboro. Rev. Len Woodard will officiate.

Serving as pallbearers will be Barry Wyatt, Greg Wyatt, Robby Wyatt, Randy Wyatt, Neal Tillman, Arthur DuLong, Sidney Dumas, Scotty Dumas and Jimmy Fullerton.

The family will receive friends from 10 until 11 a.m., Saturday, July 15, 2017, at Hillsboro Baptist Church prior to the service.

The family suggests donations to the Loraine Dumas Outreach 150 Sugar Hill Road, Hillsboro, Ga. 31038.
