Cora Lee Allen

Cora Lee Allen, age 74, was born November 25, 1942, in Bryson City, N.C., to Loyd and Lena Cordela Mason Styles. She passed away Sunday, August 13, 2017, at Putnam General Hospital, Eatonton.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Clenton Allen and her brother, James Otis Styles.

is survived by her son David Clinton Allen of Eatonton, grandson Clinton Wayne Allen, and sister, Joyce Velma Styles Huey, of Eatonton

Before her retirement, she was a seamstress at the Perky Cap Company. She enjoyed needle point, cooking and baking, and she particularly enjoyed the intricate designs of adult coloring books. Her greatest joys were her grandson and her cat.

The funeral service will be Thursday, Aug. 17, 2017, at 3 p.m. at the chapel of Jordan Funeral Home. The family will receive friends during the hour prior to the service, from 2 to 3 p.m. Interment will be in Talmadge Cemetery, Monticello. The Rev. Joe Ezzard will officiate.
