Three Day, 3-D Hunt Shoot Set this Weekend

A 3D, three day hunt shoot benefit fund raiser is set for this weekend, Saturday, Sept. 2 through Monday, Sept. 4, at 7949 Post Road in Shady Dale.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily. Everyone is invited to come day or all. The cost is $20 for one day or $50 for all three days. Ages 11-16 enter for $15, and 10 and under are only $1. Family rates are available.

In addition to the hunt, there will be many raffles, food, a bounce house, and lots of fun.

A hunt shoot (bows are set up for hunting) consists of 20 targets, trail like setting walking to each lane which will have three stakes, red, blue and yellow—max 40, 30, 25 yards. This is also unknown yardage. no range finders.

Most are open and fun, but many will be very challenging real hunt scenarios. We are using Fred Bear scoring. which is based on ethical shots. There will also be a long shot, distance over 70 yards. shooting at a 7ft Bigfoot!! Closest to center of dot wins a new Walk on Archery target for the men and new Binos for the women, and block target for youths. All items are donated.

This is a real good time for any bow hunter to do fine tuning just before bow season opens up.

The hunt will benefit Ryan and Catherine Lockhart. Five years after a breast cancer battle, Catherine has been diagnosed with Stage 4 Metastic Breast Cancer in her lungs. And, she was laid off from her job at the end of May.

Mrs. Lockhart has medical insurance, but they do not have the funds they need to pay for all the prescription copays, groceries, utilities, and all the bills that remain from her original illness.
