Leadership Class Graduates

The 2017 Leadership Jasper class graduated at the Monticello-Jasper County Chamber of Commerce’s First Friday Breakfast on Friday, September 1.

The quarterly breakfast was sponsored by AT&T. Paul Chambers, Regional Director, External Affairs spoke to a room filled with community guests. Mr. Chambers talked about the new broadband services available in the county.

Leadership Jasper began in January when the group of 15 attended the COC’s Annual Meeting. The class visited Representative Susan Holmes at the Capitol in February and starting in March met once a month studying topics such as local government, education, community services, economic development, tourism, and networking.

Bob Troutead with Troutead Consulting Group facilitated the class each month with specific topics regarding leadership skills. The class curriculum was focused on The Energy Bus by Jon Gordon.

The leadership class is sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. The 2017 graduating class members include Tamala Alexander, Susan Denney, Joanne Jordan, Kim McMichael, Rachel Torrance, Towonder Dennis, Wendi Helms, Jacki Tyler, Carol Atkinson, Robin Carey, Robert Crumbie, Gail Harrell, Rev. Nathaniel Long, (not pictured) Trey Gafnea and Joseph Hinton.
