Antonio Warren

A celebration of life for Antonio Warren, who died Sept. 23, was held Saturday, Sept. 30, at St. James A.M.E. Church in Monticello.

Mr. Warren was born on November 29, 1969 to Willie and Yvonne Warren of Sparta. He received his education at Hancock Central High School, and welding certificate from Griffin Technical College. After 16 years of service at Georgia-Pacific, he worked 13 additional years at Pike Electric and Asplundh Tree Expert Company.

Early in life, Mr. Warren joined Beulah Baptist Church of Sparta. Later he became a true and faithful servant of Alpha and Omega International Ministry under Pastor Jerry Stokes. Mr. Warren would later join Word of Faith Fellowship Church under Pastor Aachen Thompkins, where he served as a deacon.

On January 25, 1991, he was joined in holy matrimony to the lovely Mrs. Katrina Renee Sands. For 26 years, they shared their lives and raised three beautiful children.

Antonio was preceded in death by his mother-in-law, Clelia Sands.

To cherish his memories and legacy are his wife, Mrs. Katrina Warren of Monticello; a son, De’Janeiro Warren of Covington; two daughters and a son-in-law, Mrs. Guernica Sands-Dean (Cornelius Dean) of Jonesboro, and Ke’Ausha Warren of Lawrenceville; parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willie Warren of Sparta; a brother, Rodney Warren of Sparta; a sister and brother-in-law Mrs. Shonte’ Dixon (Derrell Dixon) of Milledgeville; father-in-law, Charlie Sands of Monticello; two sisters-in-law, LaSidra Sands of Monticello and Senitra Sands of Jackson; seven grandchildren, NyAsia Dean, Jakiya Dean, Ayden Warren, Aikeylah Warren, Kiani Dean, Gavin Warren and Ceyelond Roebuck, also a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, unchles, family and friends.

Rev. Jerry Stokes officiated the celebration of life, and burial was in South View Cemetery. Pallbearers were Mike Fuller, John Malcom, David Stanford, Chad Ridgway, Andy Stewart, and Tony Braswell. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Sasser and Milton Johnston.
