Betty Jean Harrelson Wells

Betty Jean Harrelson Wells of Monticello, died Thursday, Sept. 28, 2017 after a long illness. She went to be with the Lord at the age of 75 surrounded by her loving family at Eternal Hope Hospice in Griffin.

Betty was the oldest of seven children born February 16, 1942. She outlived all her siblings. Betty and her husband, Jim, had three children: Tony Wells of Conyers; Robby Wells of Jackson, and Tina McDaniel of Monticello; 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Betty and Jim were married December 5, 1959.

Betty was baptized at Conley Baptist Church, Conley, GA. Betty and Jim moved to Monticello in 2000 and are members of Monticello Baptist Church.

A memorial service was held Saturday, Sept. 30, at Monticello Baptist Church, Monticello. Visitation with the family preceded the service.
