Deputies Respond To Calls

Deputies with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) were busy this week responding to numerous reports of theft across the county.

A theft was reported on Forsyth Street in town, where considerable cash and jewelry were reported missing. Currency was also taken in a theft on Oconee Forest Road last week.

A resident on Pitts Chapel Road reported the theft of much audio equipment as well as a computer and other items. An all-terrain vehicle, a Yamaha Raptor, was reported missing from an address on Lakeshore Drive. In addition, a video game and flat screen television were taken from a residence on Pheasant Drive in Turtle Cove.

Other incidents included the theft of a lawn mower from an address on Robby Street, and a burglary of unnamed items, including a vehicle, from an address on Bullard Road. An I-phone was reported missing from Washington Park Elementary School, and two businesses in town had activity. Deputies were called to Evercore Insurance on the Square in regards to fraudulent activity, and the Bank of Monticello summoned law enforcement about a forgery.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Terry Brandon Johnson, 33, Covington—violation of computer pornography and child exploitation, criminal attempt to commit a felony, distributing obscene material and obscene internet contact with a child.

•Quintarius Lamar Horton, 19, Monticello—aggravated assault, terroristic threats and acts and cruelty to children-2nd degree (two counts).

•Jasmine Nicole Brantley, 23, Union Point—deposit account fraud.

•Vance Obrian Coleman, 43, Hillsboro—probation violation.

•Jerry Lewis Crowe, 57, Newborn—sale of methamphetamine (two counts).

•Sandra Kay Crowe, 60, Newborn—sale of methamphetamine (two counts).

•Lisa Ann Nicholson, 55, Covington: driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and open container.

•Michael Chad Greenway, 41, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, trafficking in cocaine/marijuana/meth or illegal drugs and probation violation.

•Wendy Lynn Swigart, 50, Social Circle—driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs and failure to maintain lane.

•Michael William Shurley, 46, Monticello—possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, cruelty to children-2nd degree and terroristic threats.

•Nicole Starr Anderson, 29, Covington—possession of methamphetamine.

•Thomas Robert Anderson, Jr., 33, Shady Dale—possession of methamphetamine.

•Charles Lincoln Anderson, 28, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.
