Three Are Sentenced to Jail
Brandon Lee Thompson was sentenced to four years in confinement for offenses committed on two separate criminal cases and a probation violation which were adjudicated in Jasper Superior Court last week under the jurisdiction of Judge William Prior, Jr.
Mr. Thompson was sentenced to 10 years with the first two served in confinement for failing to register as a sex offender in Jasper County in one of his two cases and in the other case he was sentenced to one year of probation for a theft by taking charge. But for violating his probation which included relocationg without permission, failure to register as sex offender and being arrested for theft charge, he wassentenced to four years in confinement. All sentences run concurrently and he was fined $1,000.

Louie Y. Daly had his criminal case for possession of drug related objects reviewed by Judge Prior who sentenced him to one year of probation and fined him $400.
In probation cases reviewed, Bart Ray was sentenced to 365 days in Jasper County jail for new drug related possession offenses comitted June 2017 while on probation from a April 2016 case involving attempting to elude an officer, drving while license suspended, obstruction of an officer, and reckless driving. He was given credit for 34 days of time served.
Van Coleman was sentenced to 180 days in jail which was suspended upon entry into a rehab inpatient progam where he must remain for one year.. Mr. Coleman moved without permission, failed to pay court fines, and failed to complete community service.
