Persons Are Arrested; Thefts Reported

Burglars were busy in Jasper County this week with two vehicles stolen, an all-terrain vehicle and trailer missing, and a large number of tools stolen from a fourth address.

In one incident involving a stolen vehicle, it was noticed soon enough that deputies were called, and they immediately issued a “BOLO—be on the lookout.

The vehicle was located in Newton County. Gilbert Davila of Monticello is charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, DUI— driving under the influence of alcohol, driving without a valid license, and disobeying a traffic control device.

When he is released by Newton County, he will face charges in Jasper County.

That vehicle was taken from an address on Forsyth Street in town. Another vehicle was taken from an address on Hwy. 212 east, and was relocated the same day. The ATV was taken from an address on Hwy. 142 in Shady Dale. Last week, a burglary was reported on Hwy. 142 in Newborn where numerous tools of all types were taken.

Other burglaries were reported on Marshall Drive, Mason Street, and County Line Road, but none involving large ticket items. There was also a report of financial identity fraud on Dumas Road in Hillsboro.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Mitchell Oliver Russell, 31, Conyers—theft by taking.

•Tommy Caroline Frazier, 38, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine and probation violation.

•Stanley Delano Hash, Jr., 54, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.

•John Garland Thomason, 58, Hillsboro—aggravated stalking.

•Sabrina Ann Harp, 23, Monticello—probation violation.

•Jonathan Andre Sims, 20, Monticello—probation violation (2 counts).

•Jason Todd Chapman, 32, Monticello—cruelty to children-2nd degree (two counts) and simple battery.

•Darian Dontez Farley, 36, Eatonton—probation violation.

•Paul Ross Beebe, 71, Monticello—probation violation.

•Stephanie Dawn Minton, 45, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine.

•William Jeffrey Minton, 39, Monticello—possession of methamphetamine and battery.

•Patrick James Harvard, 27, Mansfield—purchase/possess/manufacture/distribution or sale of marijuana.
