Counterfeit Bills Show Up in County

Deputies were called to the Dollar General store in Monticello this week as someone tried to pass a $100 counterfeit bill.

When questioned, the person denied knowledge of it. She was subsequently charged with trying to pass the bill and false statements.

Counterfeit $20 bills were discovered at the Bank of Monticello. It is not clear from the report if they know where the bills came from.

There was also a case of financial transaction card fraud concerning someone on Blue Heron Drive. Several guns were taken from a home on Armour Road, and a homemade trailer was taken from an address on Hwy. 16 west.

In addition, car batteries and radiators were taken from an address on Deer Run Road in Newborn.

Persons arrested in the last week, and their charges, include:

•Ashley Renae Enrique, 22, Monticello—financial transaction card fraud (eight counts) and financial transaction card theft.

•Marcus Lanier Smith, 44, Covington—probation violation.

•Danny Truman Roberts, 37, Sycamore—hold for warrant in Dooley County.

•Dylon Phillips Comer, 20, McDonough—possession of methamphetamine.

•Morgan Nigel Webb, 24, McDonough—possession of methamphetamine and no brake light or working turn signals.

•Marc Tyler Rommelman, 27, Newnan—possession of methamphetamine and parole violation.

•Rebecca Sue Delicata, 39, Milledgeville—driving while license suspended or revoked and operation of an unregistered vehicle.

•Brantley George Davis, 17, Covington—possession of methamphetamine.

•Ricky Ramirez Farley, Jr., 30, Eatonton—possession of Schedule I controlled substance, driving while license suspended or revoked, open container and failure to maintain lane.

•Diquan Jamal Johnson, 21, Monticello—probation violation.

•Peggy Joann Harris, 56, Jackson—probation violation.

•Valencia Michelle Boswell, 45, Covington—probation violation (two counts).

•Shalayne Dione Andrade, 39, Covington—expired license and possession of marijuana less than an ounce.

•Lashamirria Meshaun Walker, 23, Griffin—false statements and writings and forgery first degree.

Deputies also responded to numerous calls for servivce including, 67 serve civil papers, 49 stopping suspicious person or vehicle, 22 premises check, 15 subject needs officer, 13 alarm, 10 pick-up prisoner or subject, and numerous other calls of various types.
