Cougar MS Teams Fall On Road

Both Piedmont Academy Middle School basketball teams were involved in close games against John Milledge Academy last Friday but both fell just shy of victory.

The MS boys fell 53-49 on the road despite Ryan Holder pouring in 25 points. Holder had seven baskets along with two 3-pointersand was 5-of-6 from the free throw line.

Dawson Coe added 13 points for the Cougars. Also contributing offensively were Cole Wade and David Bishop with four points each and Ryan Reeves with three.

The Middle School Lady Cougars were paced by Mallory Kelly’s six points in a 21-15 loss. Hannah Tyler added three points while Raleigh Lofton, Maddie Waddleton and Fleming Sealing each scored two points.

Piedmont’s Middle School basketball teams will return to action Thursday against Twiggs Academy at home beginning at 3:30 p.m. The teams travel to Thomas Jefferson Academy Friday for games starting at 3:45 p.m.
