Hurricane Wrestlers Finish Third

The Monticello Hurricane Wrestling team hosted its 10th Annual Hurricane Duals last week with the Canes team finishing in third place and eight wrestlers finishing in the top three of their weight class.

The team is coached by Andy Rewis, David Pittman, and Mark Richardson.

Individual results for the top three finishers from the duals include:

•Zack Key first place in the 113 pound weight class.

•Tristen Light second place in the 195 pound weight class.

•Zack Billings second place in the 145 pound weight class.

•Dylan Smith second place in the 182 pound weight class.

•Levi Story second place in the 120 pound weight class.

•Joshua Sheriff third place in the 132 pound weight class.

•Brandon Grindle third place in the 126 pound weight class.

•Gray Morgan third place in his heavy weight class.

The team was scheduled to face Baldwin, Crawford, and Southwest Wednesday before traveling to Social Circle on Saturday, Dec. 16 for an a.m. match. The team will travel to Perry Tuesday, Dec. 19 during the holiday hiatus.
