Suspect Is Sought in Burglary

Officers with the Jasper County Sheriff’s Office are seeking the public’s help in locating Joseph Lawrence Parr who is wanted in connection with a burglary that occurred last week on Post Road in Shady Dale.

Officers responded to the location, from which Mr. Parr fled, and found evidence of a burglary. They subsequently acquired a search warrant for his residence on Kline Road, where they found evidence of a Chop Shop operation, and issued a warrant for Mr. Parr’s arrest. Arrested at the Post Road location was Shanon Vaughn, also of the Kline Road address. Ms. Vaughn is charged with theft by receiving stolen property, burglary-1st degree, possession of methamphetamine with intent to distribute, possession of tools for commission of a crime, owning/operating or conducting a chop shop, drug related objects and criminal trespass.
