Mary Katherine Maeger

Mary Katherine Maeger, age 84, of Monticello, formerly of Acworth, passed away Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at Abbey Hospice in Social Circle.

Mary Maeger was born in Woodstock, Ga., to the late William M. Maeger and Annie Laura Roberts Maeger. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, John Maeger, William T. Maeger, Richard Maeger; and sister, Sarah Evans.

Mary Maeger retired in 1995, after 25 years of service with Royal Insurance Company. She enjoyed working in her yard and playing with her dearly loved fur baby, Abby.

She is survived by her brother, Bart Maeger of Monticello; nieces, Betty Evans (Jack) Elder of Atlanta and Irene Maeger (Billy) Milner of Ellijay; and several great nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m, Wednesday, Jan. 31, 2018, at Cherokee Memorial Park in Canton, Ga. Chaplain Whitney Walton will officiate.

The family suggests in lieu of flowers donations be made to Abbey Hospice, 215 Azalea Court, Social Circle, Ga. 30025.
